Realizing that the Church cannot be whole unless ALL of God’s people are an integral part of it and seated together “at the table”, the UBE has been an innovative force in developing a national initiative for social justice and change in the Church. The UBE operates as an advocate to foster and promote multicultural, multi-ethnic and multi-lingual reconciliation in the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion.

The UBE represents a confederation of more than 55 chapters and interests groups throughout the continental United State, and the Caribbean; with membership in Africa, Canada, and Latin America.
